Merit Scholarships
Based on your GPA and ACT scores, you may automatically qualify for renewable merit scholarships—no separate application required.
Chancellor’s Scholar – Full Tuition
Awarded to incoming freshmen with a 3.7+ GPA and ACT 30 or higher. This is UT Southern’s highest academic honor, recognizing exceptional achievement and leadership. Each academic program offers one full-tuition Chancellor’s Scholar award. Eligible students are considered in order of enrollment, with award confirmation secured upon receipt of the non-refundable enrollment deposit.
Provost’s Scholar – $6,000 annually
Awarded to students with ACT score starting at 27.
Dean’s Scholar – $3,000 annually
Awarded to students with ACT score starting at 22.
Firehawk Scholar – $1,500 annually
Awarded to students with ACT score starting at 19.
Rising Scholar – $1,000 annually
Awarded to students with ACT score starting at 18.
All merit scholarships are renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) of full-time undergraduate enrollment, provided academic standards for renewal are maintained.
